Peace Corps Botswana Returned volunteers are planning on having a raft at the great gathering in Pennsylvania on the weekend of August 27 2011. During this long weekend, we will be camping at a nearby campground and catching up as we await the raft trip. The whole thing looks pretty awesome. Basically, this is a Peace Corps 50th anniversary celebration in which every country being represented at the event will have at least one raft as we all float down the Delaware River together. The cost per person is $60 which includes a barbecue, a t-shirt, the raft, and live music. The first great gathering was part of the Peace Corps 25 anniversary celebration and included over 1000 returned volunteers. The event is being held at the Shawnee Inn and Golf resort. The owner of this property is actually a returned peace corps volunteer.
